Heal and harmonise the body, mind and spirit with Reiki

what is jikiden reiki and what are the health benefits?

The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word ‘rei’ meaning universal and ‘ki’ meaning the universal life force that flows through all living things. Reiki is non-invasive and helps alleviate physical and emotional issues such as physical discomfort and chronic pain. Emotionally, it helps to treat mood disorders including anxiety and depression. There are many styles of Reiki, after becoming westernized the original teachings were modified and tweaked to fit personal preferences. The Reiki I use is Jikiden Reiki, the word ‘Jikiden’ means ‘directly passed down’ meaning it has not been modified. It’s still taught in its original form from Japan!

How does Jikiden Reiki work? The practitioner places their hands gently on the patient and the energy flows where it needs to go. Often, I feel drawn to place my hands on a certain area, and find out after that the patient has pain or issues in that area. I think of energy as an electrical current, when the current is blocked the energy doesn’t flow well. Jikiden Reiki clears energy pathways, allowing life force to flow.

These pathways are the chakras and meridians of the body and Jikiden Reiki realigns and balances these rhythms, so we feel our best emotionally and physically.

When I realized I was an empath I was very drawn to Reiki energy healing and wanted to learn more. The first class I took felt like my soul calling. I have been practicing now for about seven years and I can’t imagine my life without it. I feel great joy from helping others and feel we are all connected to this universal life force.

I’m grateful to be able to enhance the quality of life for others through Jikiden Reiki, when giving a treatment I also benefit from it’s blissful energy.
